Cookie Dough & Frozen Foods Supplement

Product Information

What do I need to know about the cookie dough and frozen food?

Depending on flavor, cookie dough comes in 3-pound tubs, which make 96 (1/2-ounce) cookies, and 2.75-pound tubs, which make 88 (1/2-ounce) cookies. Multi-packs come in 4, 12-ounce tubs equaling 3-pounds. The cookie dough keeps up to 1 year frozen or 4 months refrigerated. All varieties are kosher dairy. Dough may contain traces of peanuts and/or nuts. Pretzels are hand-twisted and come 12 to a package. They keep refrigerated for 1 week or frozen for 2 months and are kosher. Pizza is 12" hand-tossed or 5" individual and keeps frozen for 6 months. Cheesecakes are 24-ounces, come in 8" containers, and are ready to eat. Other Cakes and pie are 24-ounces and come in 8" container. Cakes keep refrigerated 1 week and frozen for 6 months and are kosher. The coffee is ground. Coffee and cocoa come in 12-ounce tubs and are not frozen. Dumplings come in a 4-pack and total 44-ounces.

Placing an Order

What are my responsibilities?

  • Find a refrigerated or frozen storage facility as soon as you can. Work with your school cafeteria or other businesses to have a place to store your cookie dough and/or frozen food on the day of delivery.

  • Collect the money at the time of the order. Checks should be made payable to your group, not Common-Threads.

  • You will be responsible for sorting the items by seller, so keep the original order forms for your records. Send in only the Group Order Form with your payment.

What if refrigeration is a problem?

Ask about our Dry Mix Program featuring cookies, brownies, muffins, and more. Same great taste! Same great profit! No refrigeration needed!

What is our profit and how do we pay?

You will earn a 45% profit on your order of 336 units or more. (Orders under 336 units will earn 40% profit.) A 60% deposit by check or credit card should be sent with your order. With approved credit, a 30-day account will exist. Once your actual order has been processed, an exact amount will be determined. After your sale is complete, we will either issue you a credit check for your overpayment or invoice you for any balance due.

Why are orders only shipped in full case quantities?

Everything except Cookie Scoops must be ordered in multiples of 6. Rounding your order to the nearest case allows us to serve you better. It reduces errors from incorrect tallying and maximizes warehouse efficiency. With no mixed or partial cases, reconciliation and distribution are easier for you. Plus, you have extra product to sell, which means more profit for your group! We have also lowered the case count from 8 to 6, so boxes are smaller, lighter, and easier to carry. Plus, there will be less rounding for full cases. It also saves money by drastically reducing add on orders and additional shipping.

How do I tally my order to figure out the nearest case quantity?

We will be glad to convert your order to full case quantities for you. Simply enter the actual totals sold on the Group Order Form and we will take care of the rest. We will then notify you of the number of additional pieces before processing your order in case you want to make any adjustments.

Can I make changes to my order once it has been placed?

Any change to an order must be made within 24 hours of the order being received by Common-Threads. Any changes or additional orders after 24 hours will be considered a new order, and shipping charges may apply.

Delivery

When will my order be delivered?

Our usual turn around time is 16 days from receipt of your order. Please be aware special order deadlines apply during peak seasons. We will make every effort to meet your requested shipping date. Specific day of week may not be possible depending on shipping transit time. A preference for morning or afternoon delivery can be noted, but is not guaranteed. Requested delivery after 5pm may result in an additional charge.

Is there a shipping charge?

We provide free shipping on orders weighing 1000 pounds or more. That equates to 336 or more frozen units. Orders under 336 frozen units are allowed, but will be charged shipping. Use the worksheet below to calculate your estimated shipping charges.

336 minus number of frozen units sold = B (Shipping Units) Example: 336– 286 = 50

B x .47 = C (Shipping charge) 50 x .47 = 23.50 Shipping charge

Please Note: Coffee, cocoa, and scoops do NOT count toward the 336 minimum frozen units for free shipping.

Are optional special services for delivery available?

The following optional services may be requested: Residential delivery at $40.00 per shipment, inside delivery at $15.00 per shipment, liftgate at $95.00 per shipment. A liftgate is recommended if there is no loading dock at the delivery point.

What if I have a problem with my order?

Insist on checking the order prior to signing the freight receipt. It is imperative to note any problems on the delivery receipt PRIOR to signing the form. You must notify us within 24 hours of delivery if there is a problem. In case of shortage or damage, the pick list and freight delivery receipt will need to be faxed to us.

Distribution Suggestions

Do you have any suggestions to help us on the day of delivery?

Create a “Buddy Call System” to help you stay organized. Create a list of sellers so you call two people, and they call two people, and so forth, until everyone is notified. This way you only have to call two people and everyone is in the right place at the right time. If possible, a couple days before delivery, send a note home with the individuals who sold reminding them to make arrangements to pick up their items. It is then their responsibility to store or deliver them.

On the delivery day, ask several volunteers to help you sort the product by flavor. Create a distribution line and sort it in the same order as it appears on the order form. This makes distribution easier because the frozen food is separated when the individuals arrive to pick up their orders. They can then easily work down the line and their order form to get the exact number of each item ordered without having to search for each variety.
